Ambassador Bangkok Hotel

relaxing and comfortable place, the rooms are big enough. the location is not as good but the hotel is great in terms of service. Would definitely stay here again. Budget friendly and amazing stay to be visited again and again.

After going through the reviews on Tripadvisor, I went ahead to book this hotel during my holiday in Bangkok. I booked the privilege room which is located in the higher floors of the Tower Wing (new wing). I didn't have too much expectation before booking this place based on the reviews but I was quite impressed with the place. Here are some of my inputs: Location: This is the major plus for the hotel which is located on Sukhumvit road and a popular tourist spot. It is placed strategically close to many shops, restaurants, travel agents, money changers, ATMs, laundry etc and within walking distance from the station as well. Taxis and tuk tuks are easily available. We mainly chose this hotel for its location. Checking in and out: Check in was a breeze since we went well after the usual check in time. Checking out was a little messy, especially at the concierge. We managed to check out on time. Try to check out a little earlier than the usual time in order to avoid the long queues. Rooms: Spacious, clean and comfortable. I was travelling with my family of 4. My kids really loved the room and they also enjoyed exploring the hotel grounds. Since the room we booked was on the higher floor, there were no noise problem. Staff: Most of the staff that we spoke to were friendly and helpful. Some didn't seem so friendly, could be because of the language barrier. Ironing facilities: The hotel does not provide iron boxes in the rooms. You need to go to the 10th floor of the Tower Wing to get ironing done where only one iron box and an ironing board is provided. I hope the hotel would at least provide the ironing facilities on each floor. Lots of Halal food are available near the hotel, within walking distance. There is also a vegetarian restaurant, Dosa King which serves good Punjabi and South Indian dishes and is located very close to the hotel. Overall, the hotel is recommended but choose the rooms on the higher floors of the Tower Wing.

Stayed in ambassador for 5 days. staff very helpful, English from staff at front desk is very good. Only 1 thing that i didnt like... all chanels on TV are in dubbed thai, the english ones have heavy snowfall on the screen so watching was impossible.

Located at Soi 11 of Sukhumvit, about 100m from the Nana BTS Station, the hotel is nice, peaceful like our old grandmother house. The hotel definitely need a major renovation from the lobby to the room. It has all the facilities to be a 5-Star but just a bit too old, even towel in the bathroom is grey in colour. Oh, the air-conditioning is too noisy Location is excellence; service is good. No complain.

We stayed here for 5 days at their superior suite room. Front desk personnels can talk English.Wifi was working for three days and on our last 2days, not working at all especially if you’re using iPhone. Room service does not vacuum the floor inside our room ( we ask to “make up our room” three times) floors are carpeted. Pool doesn’t smell it was given chlorine treatment. Pool staff were nice though. Buffet food same all throughout. This hotel needs a major makeover.
